Jace Malek was a 2015 WVHS graduate who passed away in February from cancer.
In front of a packed gymnasium, the WIAA President spoke of the Associations' desire to honor Jace's memory. Each year the newly created President's Award, the Jace Malek Spirit Award, will be presented to a Washington State student athlete who best exemplifies Jace's positive character traits.
