Capital Projects Underway
During the summer of 2025, work will be done to address our most immediate facility needs and safety concerns. These projects are able to be completed due to the Capital Projects levy approved by voters in November 2024. Future improvements utilizing levy funds are evaluated each January and approved by the school board. Check this page regularly to see what projects are underway to help West Valley students belong, achieve and succeed!
Seth Woodard Elementary parking lot reconfiguration
Starting June 16, construction will begin in front of Seth Woodard Elementary along Mission Avenue in order to alleviate traffic issues on Mission and Park and around the school. This reconfiguration will also minimize long wait times in the parent pick-up area.
This building is the third West Valley school to have the valet area redesigned to create a safer, more efficient bus loading zone and parent pick-up area. Anticipated completion date of this project is August 16.
Completion of West Valley High School roof replacement
Thanks to voter-approved levy funding, the district was able to re-roof half the north side of the West Valley High School roof in 2023. Right after the 2024-2025 school year ended, crews got to work replacing the south portion of the roof at West Valley High School that covers the cafeteria, library and classroom spaces.
