Dear West Valley staff, students, and parents:
Thank you for joining us yesterday evening for the West Valley Community Connections Webinar. If you were not able to join us, we recorded the webinar and you can access the video here along with the presentation. We provided specific details about the new changes to COVID protocols and general information about West Valley School District, including:
- The Governor’s removal of the mask mandate in schools (preschool through 12th grade) beginning March 21st.
- The public transportation requirement for students and staff to continue wearing masks while riding school buses.
- Information explaining the process used by the WA State Board of Health to determine if COVID vaccination will be a requirement for school-aged children to attend school. To date, no decision has been made by the WA State Board of Health.
- Information regarding current student enrollment, school district budget (state, federal, levy, and COVID relief funds), free school meals, and district purchase of next year’s school supplies for K-5 students.
