Community Engagement Committee
The Community Engagement Committee is a subcommittee of the district Strategic Planning Committee. During the annual strategic planning meeting December 6, 2016, members of the Community Engagement Committee reported on the progress of the work done on their three focus goals for the year:
- Celebrate Successes - by growing the awareness of the district Above and Beyond Recognition Program.
- Enhance Parent Relationships - by hosting a second "Family Connections Day" to connect families with local support services and training opportunities.
- Enhance Communication Channels - by leveraging available technology to enhance communication with parents and community.
Committee members will meet throughout the year to accomplish their established focus goals.
PACE Character Ed
The PACE (Partners Advancing Character Education) program, a grass roots organization created by Central Valley, East Valley, Freeman and West Valley School Districts, will again host a "Student of Character" banquet. One student will be chosen from each school to attend as their student of character. The dinner and celebration is free to the student and their parents/guardians and principal. There is an opportunity for community members and/or business owners to donate to support this wonderful event.
