The West Valley Nutrition Services Department works hard to provide nutritious and balanced meals for students. All schools have a fresh fruit and veggie bar where students serve themselves. Free and reduced meals are available.

Free Backpacks

Students with back packs

Again this year the Salvation Army will host their Back To School Backpack Distribution event. In addition to free backpacks there will be a family resource fair. The free event is August 15 at the Salvation Army in the 200 block of E. Indiana Avenue, Spokane.

Gratitude to Firefighters

We are grateful to the firefighters and emergency management teams for their quick response to the Upriver Beacon fire. Our hearts go out to the homeowners who lost their home and others who were affected by the fire.

Millwood Daze 2018

Mark your calendar to attend the 10th annual Millwood Daze celebration Saturday, August 25, 2018. The WVHS Band will participate in the opening ceremonies just prior to the 5K run, and the WVHS Robotics team will perform on stage.
