Jamie Nilles inducted into WIBCA Hall of Fame

For his many years of service as a coach and athletic director, WIBCA presented him with the Ed & Shirley Pepple Service Award. This honor is given to individuals who have made an exceptional positive contribution to high school boys basketball in the state of Washington.

Jamie began his time at WVHS in 1994 when he joined the district as a teacher and part of the boys basketball coaching staff. Over the years he has served as JV and head coach for the boys program as well as assisted with the WVHS girls basketball program.

For the past nine years, Jamie has used his leadership skills as WVHS athletic director in addition to serving as an advocate to host a variety of basketball events, tournaments and summer leagues at the school. WVSD recently recognized Jamie for 25 years of service in education.

"As a district we are extremely proud of Jamie’s accomplishments and the positive impact he’s had on so many WVSD students and families,” WVSD Superintendent Kyle Rydell said. “We want to thank him for his leadership and dedication to our West Valley Community!”
