The assembly opened with a presentation of the Colors and the National Anthem sung by the WVHS Choir under the direction of MaryBeth Wagstaff. They also sang God Bless America in conjunction with the String Orchestra. WVHS science teacher and Air Force veteran Eric Groshoff closed the ceremony with "Taps"
