Current Covid Protocols

Per updated guidance from the Washington Department of Health, individuals who test positive for COVID-19 no longer are required to isolate for five (5) days after symptom onset. They can return to school once symptoms significantly improve and they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours (without using fever-reducing medications). Additional recommendations include:

1) Individuals should take extra precautions for 5 days after resuming normal activities, including wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, cleaning regularly and implementing measures to improve airflow and filtration.

2) Individuals who have COVID-like symptoms should still be tested. COVID tests can be requested from WVSD schools as long as supplies are still available.

3) Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed should stay away from high-risk individuals.
