As of the 2023-24 school year, the West Valley School District will begin fully implementing ParentSquare, a new school-home communications platform that allows for consistency across our schools.  ParentSquare is a simple and engaging platform that can communicate with our families in a variety of ways.
Through ParentSquare you are able to:
  • Receive all communications from the district, schools, classrooms, and activity groups in one centralized place.
  • Track school and district news, activities, and events
  • Direct message your child's teacher and staff
  • Choose your preferred mode of communication (text, email, and app)
  • Choose to receive messages immediately or all at once at 6 PM (Digest Mode)
  • Choose your preferred language
  • Participate in group messages
  • and much more!

Yes.  ParentSquare is replacing all other communications for alignment across the district, which will strengthen engagement.  With ParentSquare, every method of communication will be in one place to make it easier for our families, students, and staff,
Parents DO NOT need to create an account.  All parents with students enrolled in the West Valley School District have an account.  Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive an email at 6 PM each day the communication is sent out to them.  In the event of emergencies, Parents will receive the text, email or phone call immediately.
If you cannot sign into ParentSquare with your email or phone number, please contact the school office to make sure your contact information is correct in Skyward.
Please check your spam to see if ParentSquare messages are being sent there.  If so, mark them as "Not Spam."  Also, add [email protected] to your email contacts so your server recognizes our messages.  If you are still not receiving emails.  please contact [email protected].
If you would like to update your contact information, please contact your child's school.  Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for your contact information to be synced from Skyward to ParentSquare.
You can customize your language settings by going to "My Account" and clicking "Change This" under language settings.  From there, you can choose any language you prefer from the drop-down menu and you will start to receive content in that language.  Here is a helpful article on how to change your language settings.
Yes.  Starting the 2023-24 school year, ParentSquare will be the primary communications tool for the district.
Yes.  You can contact your child's teacher privately by using the direct messaging tool.  On the home page, click on "Messaging" in the left sidebar.  From here, you can send a direct message to your child's teacher that only you and the teacher can see.  You can also send messages to other staff members at the school, such as your child's coaches and club leaders.  To learn more on how to send a direct message, click here.
ParentSquare will notify those contacts listed as a parent or guardians.  ParentSquare is an all-in-one platform that contains personally identifiable information for each student, therefore, we only engage with those designated contact.
No.  Each parent/guardian will have their own account.  They will only see information related to shared student.
No.  Sharing a password will allow them to see personally identifiable information about the student.
