Students March In ValleyFest Parade

More than 200 students from West Valley Schools participated in the annual ValleyFest Parade on September 22. Spokane Valley High School students and staff entered a lighted float and entertained the crowd with a 50's theme. Students and staff from Centennial Middle School and all four elementary schools paraded down Sprague Avenue as darkness filled the night sky.

T-2-4 Circuit event

The 4th annual college fair will be held September 27 at WVHS from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Middle and high school students and their parents are encouraged to attend this unique event.

Support for Freeman School District

A Freeman Strong Support Fund has been established through the Spokane County United Way. For more information and to make a donation, follow the link to the on-line donation page.

WVHS Homecoming Week

West Valley High School will hold various special events to celebrate homecoming. The activities include the varsity football game on Friday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Freeman Incident

Thank you to WVSD students, staff and families for staying calm in the wake of the horrific incident at Freeman. We are grateful for the professional guidance from our School Resource Deputy who provided us with the facts of the situation and assisted in our decision making process. We are fortunate to have Deputy Cashman on our team. Our hearts go out to the entire Freeman Community.

Freeman Incident

You may be aware that there was a shooting this morning at Freeman High School. Our school resource deputy has confirmed that the shooting victims have been evacuated to a hospital. It is also confirmed that the suspect is in custody.
We remain vigilant in your student’s safety and as always perimeter doors are locked and entry ways are monitored. Your student's safety is our number one priority.
