School districts rely on local, voter-approved funding to bridge that gap. On the November 3 ballot, West Valley, and the other districts in the valley, will have two replacement levies that would continue funding for the people, programs and spaces that support every student and staff:
- Proposition 1: Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy
- Proposition 2: Capital Projects Levy for Safety, Security and Infrastructure Improvements
The November levies are not new taxes, but replace levies that were last approved in 2024 and will expire next year. Collection would begin in 2028. The estimated total tax rate is projected to continue at $3.50 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
These two measures work together to provide West Valley students with access to safe, modern learning environments and rigorous education to help us meet our strategic goals of ensuring every student belongs, achieves, and succeeds.
