Technology Team Earns Above and Beyond Award

Technology Department employees

The WVSD Technology Team was presented the district Above and Beyond Award at a recent School Board meeting. They were nominated for their extra effort, working through a recent holiday weekend, to rid our district of an invasive computer virus.

West Valley High School students recently participated in a "Town Hall' type event with Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers. They had an opportunity to interact with her during the one-hour meeting as well as ask her questions.

DECA Students Compete at State

Free Community Meal

The Hutton Settlement and Millwood Community Presbyterian Church are co-sponsoring a free community meal on Monday, March 25, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Millwood Community Center, 8863 E. Euclid. Everyone is welcome.

STEM Night at Pasadena Park

Students and their families participated in an interactive STEM night recently. The event focused on learning about science through hands-on STEM activities.

Westlund Honored with Above and Beyond Award

Nathan Westlund, who teaches kindergarten music and high school strings, was presented the district Above and Beyond award at a recent School Board meeting. The talented musician was acknowledged for his mastery in working with the very young students as well as secondary students, and for his willingness to take on extra projects.
