The succession plan worked perfectly. Effective July 1, 2020, Kyle Rydell is West Valley's new Superintendent. Kyle had been the assistant superintendent for the past year with the intention of taking the top job when Dr. Gene Sementi retired.

Matson Receives Above and Beyond Award

Deputy Superintendent Doug Matson was presented with the district's highest honor, the Above and Beyond Award, at a recent school board meeting. School Board President Robert Dompier shared that Doug has done an exceptional job of managing the district finances over the past 31 years. Congratulations Doug!

WVHS Graduates 219 in Recent Ceremony

WVHS grad

West Valley High School held a drive in graduation recently with students wearing their cap and gown and family members looking on. It was far from the traditional ceremony but some things were the same. Graduates walked across the stage as their name was announced, they received their diploma, and they posed for a professional photo. Great job Eagles and all the best in your future endeavors!

Inland Paper Co. Presents Scholarship

Inland Empire Paper Company President and General Manager, Kevin Rasler (left) and Human Resources Manager Tony Ventresco met with WVHS Senior Chad Scrimsher to present him a $1,000 college scholarship. The paper company is a great WVSD partner and has presented this generous scholarship for several years. Congratulations Chad!
