This time of year weather conditions may cause a change in the regular school day. We have a process in place to make weather related decisions about a delayed start or cancellation of the regular day. If this is necessary, we will activate our emergency telephone and text message system to notify families.
Centennial Middle School Band Director Kyle Bosch wants to be sure his students have the materials and experiences they need to succeed. He is asking the communities help with donations of Portable String Bass sounds for his Jazz Band.
The Hutton Settlement Children's Home and Millwood Presbyterian Church invite community members to enjoy a free meal. All are welcome on Tuesday, December 11, 5 - 7 pm, at the Millwood Community Center, 8863 E. Euclid, Spokane Valley.
Investigators have identified the suspects involved in the social media threats made in reference to WVHS on Tuesday. The Spokane Valley Police Department and Spokane County Sheriff's Office released a statement saying there is no imminent danger to students and staff related to these criminal threats. The incident remains under investigation. School will be on schedule today.
As you may have heard there is a threat spreading on Social Media (Snapchat) directed at local high schools. We are actively investigating this at WVHS and believe it is related to the threat at East Valley. Our resource officer and security team are on site. School will continue as normal today. The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.
