The WV Marching Band is counting down the days for their trip to New York City. The band has been selected to play in the Veterans Day Parade and will have a performance in Times Square. Donations for the band trip are being accepted at all Banner Bank branches.

WVHS will host their annual community-wide blood drive on October 25, 2016. Students, staff and community members are invited to participate and help our local agencies with this life-saving event. The drive is held at the school, 8301 E. Buckeye, from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Two new student school board representatives took the oath of office at a recent meeting. DHHS Senior Noah Wiese and WVHS Junior Parker Smith will serve on the school board for the remainder of the school year. Congratulations to these two service oriented students.
