Students have been studying about human trafficking. As part of the unit they held a fundraiser and partnered with Generation Alive to use the money to purchase supplies for local people who have survived exploitation and trafficking. Click to read more.

Severe Weather Procedure

Inclement weather or emergency conditions/events happen from time to time and may force a change in the school day. The district will make every effort to adhere to the established school calendar and bell schedules; however, the safety of students and employees is the highest priority. We have a process in place to make decisions about the school day and communicate this information to parents, students and staff.

No change to the regular school day

With student and staff safety in mind, we are continuing to monitor the National Weather Service snow report. There is no change to the regular school day. Busses will run regular routes at the regular time. Please be aware drop-offs may be delayed due to the snow.

As student and staff safety is our #1 priority, we are paying close attention to the National Weather Service warning about Friday's predicted snow storm. Please be aware there may be a disruption in the end of the regular school day on Friday. We will use our emergency notification system to communicate any change to the day.

Dr. Sementi chosen Buddy of the Month

The WVHS Life Skills class honored Superintendent Sementi recently with the "Buddy of the Month" award. Dr. Sementi is a frequent visitor to the Life Skills classroom and often participates in special student led events.
