CTE Event Held for Community Partners

WVHS students in the CTE (career and technical education) programs hosted an informational event for members of the community. Guests were given a tour of the various CTE programs, heard from a student panel and enjoyed a lunch prepared by student chefs.

WVSD Musicians Honored

Musicians from WVHS and Centennial Middle School competed in the recent NE Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble Festival. Several students received excellent and superior ratings and high school students qualified for the state competition.

Jordan and Chambers named Teacher-of-the-Year

Candi Jordan and Joni Chambers were honored as Co-Teachers of the Year at the recent Spokane Valley Chamber Gala. Nominated to represent WVSD, the veteran teachers were thanked for their many successes through the years, their creative teaching styles and their dedication to the students they serve.

Important Levy Resolutions on February Ballot

West Valley voters will have the opportunity to vote on a Replacement School Programs and Operations Levy and a Replacement Technology, Safety, Security, and Facilities Improvement Capital Projects Levy on the February ballot. There is still time to register in person to vote in this important election.
