Late Start Camp

WV Outdoor Learning Center hosts Late Start Camp for students kindergarten to 5th grade. Students have the opportunity to hold and get to know the animals, make theme specific crafts, and participate in an activity at each late start.

Jordan Romero, author of No Summit Out of Sight and the youngest person ever to summit Mt. Everest, spent a day at City School recently. The students have been reading his book this quarter as an inspirational tool about following your passion and reaching your goals.

Holiday Lunch Fun

Staff in the West Valley Transportation Department held their annual holiday brunch recently with an ugly sweater theme. The hard working employees took a few moments during their busy last day at work to enjoy a good meal and time together. The bus drivers will be back, hard at work, when school resumes January 3, 2019.

DECA Students Hold Food Drive

The WVHS students in the DECA program held a holiday food drive donating hundreds of pounds of food to the less fortunate. Kudos to the thoughtful, hardworking high school students.

USPS Business Specialist Christopher Hoch participated in the recent Ness Career day. He visited the school to talk to 4th grade students about the various careers with the postal service.

CMS instructors Kellie Marlow and Ashleigh Greule were presented the district Above and Beyond Award at a recent school board meeting. They were nominated for their "It starts with Hello" campaign.
