Justice Stephens leads Civic Conference

WVSD partnered with Eastern Washington University recently to host a Civic's Conference for district 4th through 12th grade students. For more than a decade Justice Stephens has led the conference with her keynote address as well as facilitated small group break-out sessions.

Gao receives Act Six Full-Ride Scholarship

WVHS Senior Xiang Yu (Vincent) Gao is one of only eight seniors to receive the YMCA of the Inland Northwest Most Promising Urban Leaders Scholarship. The full-tuition, full-need urban leadership award is worth up to $250,000 per student.

Inclement Weather Procedure

This time of year weather conditions may cause a change in the regular school day. We have a process in place to make weather related decisions about a delayed start or cancellation of the regular day. If this is necessary, we will activate our emergency telephone and text message system to notify families.

Free Breakfast March 4 - 8, 2019

National School Breakfast week is March 4 - 8, 2019, and all students can eat free all week. This is a district-wide offer so all students, in all schools, can eat free breakfast.

Instructor Ty Brown Publishes Book

WVHS English and Social Studies teacher Ty Brown spent two years writing a book about the Wandermere area and his family heritage. The book was recently published and is available at Aunties Book Store. Congratulations Mr. Brown!

The West Valley Outdoor Learning Center will host an Open House on Saturday, February 23, from 10:00 to 2:00 pm at 8706 E Upriver Drive. The community is invited to attend.
