Our schools will release students early on Wednesday, November 23, and there will not be school on November 24 and 25 due to Thanksgiving break. Release times vary by school, so click on the graphic for a list of buildings and their times.

In honor of Veterans Day, there will be no school on Friday, November 11. All school offices as well as the district office will also be closed for the day.

Near the end of November, you'll notice some changes to the WVSD district and school websites. But don't be alarmed - the top menu buttons will remain the same!

Many students at Arthur B Ness Elementary School and Orchard Center Elementary will be warmer this winter thanks to Spokane Valley Firefighters Local 876 union providing coats through Operation Warm. Click on the graphic to read more.

Due to winter weather conditions, all WVSD school buildings and the Virtual Learning Center will be 2 hours late today Tuesday, November 8th. School buses will also be running 2 hours late. Dismissal will be at the regular time for all high schools. Elementary and Middle Schools will be dismissed as planned following lunch to begin conferences on the half-day conference schedule. Elementary and middle school students who choose not to attend the delayed morning session will receive an excused absence. There will be no AM preschool, no AM classes at Dishman, no zero hour at WVHS and no breakfast districtwide this morning. Student and staff safety is our number one priority. Again, all West Valley schools, virtual classes and buses will be 2 hours late today due to inclement weather.

If order to qualify for other benefits associated with free/reduced meals applications, families need to submit an updated Family Income Survey each year. If your students qualified in the past but have not yet completed the form for this school year, please do so soon by completing the form found under our Nutrition tab at www.wvsd.org. All WVSD students will continue to have access to free breakfast and lunch.

WVSD will be spraying on school grounds between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and dusk on Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23. Click on the notice sign for additional information.

West Valley High School students have the chance to participate in a host of spirit days during the week around the theme, "Welcome To The Jungle." There are a variety of home athletic competitions including the Homecoming football game on Friday, October 21, vs. Rogers at 7 p.m. The community is encouraged to come out and cheer on the Eagles!
