Kindergarten Pathways

Welcome to the wonderful world of kindergarten!

Entering kindergarten is a great milestone for students as it is the beginning of an entire lifetime of learning and exploration. West Valley School District provides three distinct kindergarten pathways that cultivate belonging and inspire learning while partnering with families and the community. Students must be five years old by August 31 in order to enroll. All accept students from outside our district, space permitting.

Steps to enrollment:

• Families with active WVSD students should log into Skyward and click the down arrow by the house in the upper left corner. Select New Student Enrollment.
• Families who are enrolling a student in WVSD for the first time will need to complete the online enrollment to initiate the process by clicking the Enrollment Request button.
• Be sure to select your neighborhood elementary (click button below to locate your school), K1 as the grade level, Next School Year (2026-27), and 8/26/2026 as the expected date of enrollment. Be prepared to upload verification of birth, a utility bill verifying address, and an immunization record (if shots were NOT received in Washington).
• Families who live outside WVSD boundaries but wish to choice a student into the school will have additional steps to complete to be considered.

Neighborhood Elementary Schools

Our full-day, traditional kindergarten program is taught by highly-qualified teachers who are dedicated to meeting the needs of each child and moving them forward. Parents are invited to partner in their child’s education by volunteering on field trips and special events and through involvement in the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization.
