In the August mailing that was sent to all WVSD families, the district included a sheet with our District and News Media Release policy that states, “Student achievements and activities will be published unless the parent or guardian directs otherwise.”
If a parent/guardian wishes to opt out a student from being photographed or featured in the media (which includes website, social media or anything beyond use within the school), we want to honor their wishes. If that is the case, the WVSD Opt-out Form can be found at wvsd.org under Parent/Student Resources. It should be completed and submitted each school year and kept on file in the school office.
