Active4Youth Cross Country
Elementary students at Ness, Orchard Center, Pasadena Park and Seth Woodard are eligible to practice with other runners in the after-school Active4Youth Cross Country program. Meets will be held against other WVSD elementary schools with the chance to qualify for an All-Valley Meet in late October. Practices begin this week, but registration is open until September 23. Hooptown Youth Basketball League
Registration for fall basketball via the Hooptown Youth League is currently underway but closing soon. This league provides an opportunity for kindergarten through sixth grade students to play at varying levels with other athletes from their school district. Individuals will be placed on teams based on their division selection and school, so players are more likely to connect with players in their neighborhoods. Cost ranges from $50 to 125. 5th Grade Beginning Strings
Beginning Strings is an extra-curricular opportunity available to fifth grade students who want to learn how to play the violin, viola or cello. Beginning Strings meets before school, two mornings per week, at West Valley High School. Beginning Strings is for true beginners - no experience is necessary!
