A lifelong Spokane Valley resident, Stephen brings a strong background in mathematics and educational leadership. After earning a BA in Secondary Math Education from Eastern Washington University and an MA in Technology and Curriculum Development from Lesley University, Stephen most recently completed his administrative certification through EWU.
For the past 21 years, Stephen has been part of the Gonzaga Preparatory School community, serving as a mathematics teacher, Math Department Chair, and head coach for both cross country and track. He is excited to bring a passion for student success, teamwork and community-building to West Valley.
Stephen has been married to his wife of 27 years, Keri, who is a reading interventionist in the district and they have three sons. When he’s not working, you might find Stephen playing golf, working in the yard, or walking his dog Maisy. He is a big sports fan who follows local teams such as the Seahawks, Kraken, Mariners, Gonzaga Basketball and (not-so-local) Marquette Basketball.
