Block Party fun for all ages

The annual thank you event began 16 years ago as a way for school board members to show appreciation to WVSD patrons for supporting our schools. Board members enjoy serving the spaghetti dinner, complete with strawberry shortcake, to the many community members in attendance.  This year that number topped 1,200. Each of the district's 11 schools has a display and many of them host an activity.  The variety of events this year ranged from band and choir performances to crafts, face paining, STEM activities and the opportunity to hold a duckling. There was even a principal in the dunk tank!
