'How-to' Obtain a Driver Authorization to Operate a District Vehicle (WVSD Staff or Parent Volunteer)
Prior authorization is required every school year before an individual is permitted to operate a West Valley School District vehicle.
If you are an employee who expects to utilize a district vehicle, please sign and submit a Driving Record Release of Interest to the Transportation office through interoffice mail or to [email protected]. The document only has to be signed once to allow for an abstract to be pulled annually (unless consent is revoked and/or your employment with WVSD ends). As an added benefit, the cost of the abstract will be covered by the district.
If you are NOT a WVSD employee (e.g. parent/guardian), in addition to an approved driving record, a Volunteer Background Check must be approved at the school level before you are authorized to drive a district vehicle. Please contact your school secretary for more information.
Be aware that it can take up to 10 days for a potential driver to obtain approval so please plan accordingly.
