Obtaining a Driving Authorization
- Driver Authorizations expire one (1) calendar year from the date of issuance
- The cost for each abstract is $13 (additional fee for credit card payment) so please have ONLY those who will need to drive district vehicle complete the process
- All drivers of district vans are required to have a background check completed by either the school or administration office - background check verification form must be completed prior to referring a driver to Transportation
- All drivers of district vans will need a copy of their current drivers license on file with Transportation
- Non-district employees (parents, volunteers, etc.) should be directed to dol.wa.gov to purchase a copy of their driving record. A copy of their record and receipt should then be forwarded to the Transportation office
- To have the $13 fee reimbursed, write the name and associated school on the receipt then send a copy to the Transportation office. Reimbursement will be sent from Transportation directly to the corresponding school secretary to be disbursed to the employee/parent named on the abstract
- All garbage must be removed from the vehicle or charges may apply
