Superintendent's Message
Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year!
We are thrilled to welcome students and staff back to the West Valley School district for the 22-23 school year. We are excited to engage our students in high quality instruction along with the myriad of activities and long-standing traditions our schools offer! This year we are pleased to offer free meals for all students, as well as basic supplies for all elementary students. We remain committed to serving the 3,350 enrolled students as well as the 500+ staff members who partner with families to provide the best possible education for students.
We are extremely proud of the 367 seniors who graduated in 2022. They overcame the adversity of the past few years and have launched into college or the workforce as stronger citizens as a result of their perseverance. In the same way, our staff have tackled obstacles and continue to deepen their knowledge through Professional Learning Communities as well as training on students’ social-emotional health.
As we look forward to the coming school year, our focus remains centered on providing a safe caring culture, success for all, and community engagement. WVSD offers a variety of high-rigor programs that accommodate the needs of students and their families, whether that be via an in-person, virtual or independent format. Each of these unique pathways reinforce our emphasis to engage every student, every staff member, our families and our community.
We could not do all that we do without the support of families and our community partners. It truly takes a team willing to communicate with one another, invest in education and engage in current issues to mold students into lifelong learners. The partnerships that staff and students have formed with the community make us all stronger and poised to launch exemplary citizens into the world.
We appreciate you joining WVSD in the journey as we strive to fulfill our mission that Each West Valley student will have a Rigorous and Relevant education achieved through strong Relationships to maximize readiness for College, Career and Citizenship.
The future is bright in the West Valley School District!
