Welcome to West Valley School District where we serve 3,523 students, employ 524 staff members, and partner with an outstanding community. It has been amazing to see the partnerships that our staff and students have formed with the community along with the long-standing traditions in West Valley School District.
Our focus remains centered on providing a safe caring culture, success for all, and community engagement. Our West Valley team continues to work hard to support our students and families and we will all continue to do so throughout this school year. We are extremely proud of our 352 seniors who graduated in 2021. They made the best of their year throughout closures, staying connected, attending school in a hybrid model, and participating in traditional senior events in a modified way - they persevered!
Our staff is working hard to prepare for a safe reopening of our schools. We are excited to welcome our students back into buildings and engage in our traditional face-to-face instruction and the myriad of activities. This year we continue to partner with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Spokane County Health District, and the Governor’s office to ensure we have safe learning environments.
As we look forward to the 2021-22 school year, we will continue to update our families and community in support of our students and staff. We will focus on the three pillars of our updated Strategic Plan and our “Pathways to Success.” Our areas of emphasis will be Safe and Caring Culture, Success for All, and Community Engagement. Each of these pathways will help us continue our district-wide emphasis to support every student, every staff member, our families, and our community.
Thank you for your partnership in West Valley School District as we strive to fulfill our mission statement that Each West Valley student will have a Rigorous and Relevant education achieved through strong Relationships to maximize readiness for College, Career, and Citizenship.
