Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program
Free and reduced-price meals are available to students whose families meet Federal income eligibility guidelines. This program is a great benefit and we encourage you to apply at any time, especially if your home situation or income changes.
New Free and Reduced Price meal applications must be filled out every school year. If a new application is not filled out within the first 30 days of the school year, your student will be changed to full-price. We are not able to change charges once they have been made under the full price code. In order to avoid lunch charges, please fill out a new Free and Reduced-Price meal application before the beginning of the school year.
The income eligibility guidelines are based on the federal income poverty guidelines and are revised annually. The eligibility criteria is 130% of the income poverty guidelines for free and 185% for reduced-price meals.
Students who receive FREE or REDUCED-PRICE meal benefits must be aware that this allows for one full breakfast and one full lunch per school day. These benefits do not allow for any separate ala carte purchases, including milk.
If the application is incomplete, we cannot process it and it will be returned to you for missing information. This could delay your child(ren) receiving benefits. We are unable to make benefits retroactive. You may download an application here. Please contact the Nutrition Services Office at 232-6092 if you have any questions in completing the application.
Until further notice, Washington State will continue the elimination of co-pay for reduced-price breakfasts as well as co-pays for reduced-price lunches for students in grades K-3. Lunch will continue to cost $.40 for reduced eligible students in grades 4 - 12.
